I WOULD BE INTERESTED TO KNOW IF ANYONE ELSE HAS HEARD THE CONSTANT RACKET FROM A SCRAP METAL WORKS IN SOUTH STREET.....IT CAN START AS EARLY AS 6AM AND GO ON TILL 8PM....IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!
James Smith says: Think it's from the large scrapyard the south banks of the clyde...loading the odd barge/ boat...it's been going on for years now, I tend to just keep the windows closed especially if it's going on at night. Just another joy of living beside the clyde along with the sewerage treatment plant on a warm summers day...lovely
LINDA JOHNSTONE says: No James I'm quite sure that there is a scrap recycling plant this side of the river on south street...think it could have possibly been moved premises from Partick because of the new harbour project....not been going on for years as I would have heard it as I've lived here for long time.
